Space Age Rolling Side Table, OPAL, Germany, 1970s

Original Space Age rolling side table by OPAL Möbel, Germany, dating from the 1970s.

The rounded cream-white body features a large open storage compartment and an inset tinted glass top. Four discreet castors underneath allow the table to move easily, making it suitable as a side table, drinks trolley or bedside table.

The underside is moulded “OPAL 2492”, providing a clear manufacturer and article reference. The same basic OPAL form is also documented with other article numbers, suggesting different versions within the range.

A compact and highly characteristic piece of German Space Age furniture.
