2. How to Order
As we are not a traditional online shop, purchases are made individually upon request – for example via:

- Instagram direct message (@brocante_zuerichsee)
- In person at a market
We will respond as quickly as possible with all relevant details: price, condition, shipping cost, and payment options. Once you confirm via message or email, your order is considered binding. If there are multiple interested parties, we go by the order of confirmations received.
3. Nature of the Items
All items offered are second-hand. They are carefully selected vintage, antique, or design pieces – often with history, signs of use, and individual patina. These features are part of their charm and do not constitute defects in a legal sense.
All pieces are described and photographed to the best of our knowledge. Slight variations in colour or condition may occur due to lighting, camera, or screen settings.
4. Prices & Payment
All prices are in Swiss Francs (CHF). As private sales, they are not subject to VAT.
Payment Options:
- Prepayment via bank transfer
- TWINT (upon request)
- Cash on collection or at a market
Shipping costs are calculated individually based on the item’s size and destination, and will be shared with you before purchase.
5. Delivery & Shipping
We ship within 3–5 business days after receipt of payment. The shipping provider is selected individually based on destination, parcel size, and cost.
Please note: All items ship from Switzerland.
Shipping abroad is generally possible – shipping rates and delivery times depend on the destination country and parcel size. We will provide full transparency about your options in advance.
In rare cases, delays may occur (e.g. due to market attendance or illness). If so, we will inform you promptly by email.
Personal pickup is possible by appointment, as we do not have a physical shop.
If it fits geographically, we’re happy to offer personal handover – for example along a planned route. Just let us know!
6. Shipping Damage, Returns & Exchanges
We pack all items carefully and securely. By default, items are shipped uninsured – the shipping risk lies with the buyer.
If an item arrives damaged, please contact us within 48 hours – ideally with photos of both the item and the packaging. Please keep both. We’ll work toward a fair solution.
We do not accept liability for damage caused by the delivery service.
On request, we’re happy to ship with insurance – the additional cost is to be covered by the buyer. Just let us know in advance.
Since our items are second-hand one-offs, exchanges are not possible. Returns may be accepted in exceptional cases and only after prior agreement.
That said – we’re always open to finding a personal and fair solution if something doesn’t go as expected.
7. Retention of Ownership
Items remain our property until full payment has been received.
8. Jurisdiction
Swiss law applies. Place of jurisdiction is Männedorf, Switzerland.
