Pair of Vintage Industrial Stools – Leather, ca. 1950–70
CHF 240
Pair of vintage industrial / atelier stools with slender black metal frames and round seats newly upholstered in cognac‑coloured leather. The design reflects the functional aesthetics of mid‑20th‑century workshop and school furniture — reduced, purposeful, and structurally clear.
The three‑legged construction and triangulated base give the stools stability and a distinctly utilitarian character. The newly upholstered leather seats introduce warmth and texture, creating a refined contrast to the black metal frames.
Based on form, materials and construction, the stools originate from Central Europe, most likely Germany, where this type of industrial and workshop seating was widely produced between the 1950s and 1970s.
The undersides show traces of earlier use and restoration. The frames display age‑related wear consistent with their history, yet remain stable and fully usable.
