Boby Trolley – Early Bieffeplast Production, Italy 1970s
CHF 950
Designed in 1970, the Boby Trolley is one of the most recognisable system designs by Joe Colombo. Conceived as a mobile storage solution for studios and working environments, it reflects Colombo’s vision of flexible, functional living long before it became a design trend.
This example is an early original production manufactured by Bieffeplast in Padova, Italy. The moulded underside is marked “boby – Produzione Bieffeplast reg. Padova – designer Joe Colombo – Patented”, clearly identifying the original manufacturer and early production phase.
The trolley features three pull-out drawers, an open lower compartment, and an upper tray, all mounted on castors. The yellow ABS plastic gives the piece a strong graphic presence while remaining entirely functional.
