Flavio Poli Murano Glass Vase – Seguso Vetri d’Arte, Cordonato-Ritorto, 1940s
CHF 450
A stunning example of mid-century Murano art glass attributed to Flavio Poli for Seguso Vetri d’Arte, crafted circa 1942.
This elegant aquamarine vase showcases the classic cordonato‑ritorto technique—ribbed, softly spiraling glass—in a luminous light-blue tone. Hand-blown from heavy crystal, the vase features a sculptural form that transitions from a round or gently oval base to a subtly oval body, enhancing its optical depth and fluidity.
While closely resembling Model 7609 documented in the Seguso archives, the shape variation may indicate a lesser-known variant or adjacent design from the same period. The piece remains unsigned, as was standard for Seguso factory works of the 1940s.
