Head to Tail – Cow Educational Wall Chart, DDR (VEB Lehrmittel Leipzig)
CHF 240
Less moo, more how-to — this East German wall chart turned the humble cow into a classroom diagram.
Produced by VEB Lehrmittel in Leipzig, it gave butcher apprentices a clear, hands-on way to study anatomy and cuts of meat. Printed on a chalk-friendly vinyl surface, it allowed trainees to sketch, label, and wipe clean again — practical, durable, and unmistakably DDR.
Today, it’s far removed from its vocational roots: a bold piece of vintage décor, equal parts industrial relic and conversation starter. Hang it in your kitchen, a restaurant, or even a studio — wherever you want history to meet a touch of humor.
